Coron Philippines

Coron is a municipality in the province of Palawan, Philippines. It covers the eastern half of Busuanga Island, all of Coron Island, and around 50 smaller islets stretching as far as Tara Island in the northeast and Canipo Island in the south. All of these islands form part of the Calamian Archipelago in Northern Palawan, which separates the South China Sea from the Sulu Sea. Main tourist attractions • Mangroves – there are extensive natural mangrove forests with excellent kayak trails. • Kayangan Lake. • Twin Lagoon. • Barracuda Lake. • CYC Island – a lovely spot but often very crowded; it’s the only free beach in the area. • Banol – a very picturesque beach, where flowering trees stand out against the rocky island backdrop, and the shoreline is covered in fine, sugar‑white sand.
